 About Simple-Changes

I have always had a interest in healthy eating and being active. After I completed my degree in Applied Human Nutrition (2:1 Hons) I decided to gain a qualification in personal training as the two go hand in hand. In March 2004 I completed my Premier Diploma in Personal Training which also included relaxation massage, sports massage and circuit training.

I started Simple-Changes in 2004 and have enjoyed working with clients to help them improve their health and achieve their goals. As I have a background in nutrition I am able to help people make dietary changes to complement any exercise that they are doing.
Since working as personal trainer I realised there was a demand for antenatal and postnatal exercise. I obtained an additional qualification in 2007 and started my Mums2Be and Yummy Mummies classes. It has been lovely to work with women during their pregnancies and see them after in Yummy Mummies where they are able to bring their new babies with them. Recently I have gained an additional qualification in pregnancy massage which pregnant mothers really enjoy as it is a little bit of relaxation time during a busy period of their lives.

I enjoy working as a personal trainer as I enjoy the role of supporting and motivating someone to achieve their goals. I understand that exercising can be difficult when you do not have the motivation and are easily tempted to eat naughty foods. I encourage people to make changes slowly so that they are more able to stick to them. The majority of clients that I start to work with, need to be encouraged to eat more as they have fallen into the trap of avoiding lots of foods in attempts to lose weight. They are often confused and just don’t know what to eat to lose weight and be healthy. I educate and empower people so that they know how to eat healthily and be able to maintain it.

I have an easy going nature and I am able to bond with a client easily. I gently encourage people to change their lifestyles by educating and guiding them the right way. I firmly believe that the best way to improve the quality of someone life is by making simple changes which are easy to maintain.
